Lexel launches new 'Networking and Security Practice'
Auckland, 14 September 2010
Lexel Systems has launched a new 'Networking and Security - Professional Services' Practice. The new practice will sit alongside, but be distinct from its existing 'Infrastructure - Professionals Services' practice.
Noel Simpson CEO says: "We've always outsourced enterprise Networking and Security, and the time was right to bring this inside our own organisation as a core competency. With the move towards more Cloud services and more regulated competition in the telco world, enterprise Networking and Security services are a key growth opportunity for our business."
Lexel has immediately added two Cisco CCIE level engineers into the new Network and Security project team, and structured its managed services with more resources and tools for monitoring and alerting on networks. Lexel is recruiting further staff to join the team. Key technologies includes: Enterprise WAN, LAN, Wireless, VoIP, Encryption, Reporting systems, and Acceleration systems. Key services include: Designs, Pilots, Deployments, Tuning and Troubleshooting, Security Audits, Security Forensics, General Consulting, plus Network Monitoring and Management.
Simpson says: "We've already kicked off the capability with a few major project wins, including a 168x node WAN upgrade, and several enterprise core network upgrades. We've also recruited Glenn Lovegrove who spent 10 years running Datacraft's Professional Service practice to help drive our growth."
