Reseller News hosted its annual industry awards at the Cordis Hotel to celebrate and reward excellence across the Kiwi channel. With 500 attendees from channel partners and vendors present, Lexel was recognised with the sought after ‘Digital Transformation’ award for its work with My Food Bag. In addition, Lexel was nominated and shortlisted for the ‘Customer Value’ award for its work with Holmes Group. After accepting the award, Noel Simpson, Lexel CEO said “We’re extremely humbled to be recognised in this very key and prestigious category of Digital Transformation. It represents the significant investment that we have made in this area and the strong team and capability that we have developed. Although one of many very successful Digital Transformation projects competed this year, the Lexel team particularly enjoyed working with the My Food Bag team to achieve a very successful outcome”.

 

Chris Simpson, Lexel’s founder was personally recognised for his service to the IT industry and invited into the exclusive ‘Hall of Fame’, joining existing Hall of Fame members such as Keith Watson (HP, MD), Darryl Swann (CCL, CEO) and Gary Bigwood (Ingram Micro, MD). Chris Simpson, Lexel’s Founder said “After 30 years in the industry I have achieved many things. Most of all, I have enjoyed working with people, growing them, making them the best they can be and I have particularly enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside my son Noel Simpson, Lexel’s CEO, to grow and build what is today a very successful $60 million dollar business”.
