22 November 2017 Unitec Charity Golf Day 2017 Lexel sponsored a team of four to join in the Unitec Charity Golf Day 2017 in support of the Men’s Health Trust. Hosted by Unitec at the Maungakiekie Gold Club in Auckland. Men’s Health Trust is encouraging men to take responsibility for living a healthy life by focusing on men’s physical and mental wellbeing. We were delighted as a company to be able to participate and be part of such a worthwhile cause.
17 November 2017 HP Partner Awards HP honoured leading partners across the channel at the Partner Awards 2017 in New Zealand, recognising excellence across the entire print and personal systems portfolio. 15 November 2017 Mt Hobson celebrates 15 years Lexel exhibited at ALGIM 2017 partnering with Enghouse Contact Centre Solutions. The theme was “The Role of Local Government in a Digital World” and attending were the who’s who of New Zealand’s leading Local and Central Government organisations. Being our first appearance at ALGIM 2017, we chose to front with our industry leading capability around Skype for Business, and how Enghouse, a stalwart of the Local Government industry, could interface with our solutions to deliver improved efficiencies in the voice and Unified communications space. The combined offering was a huge success with over 100 delegates connecting with our team to discuss their unified communications and contact centre plans, projects and intentions. The highlight was having all kinds of conversations with delegates, addressing current, future and historical business problems that Lexel can help resolve. With such interest in who we are and what we can deliver, we will definitely be back again in 2018, so make sure you drop in and say hi.
15 November 2017 Mt Hobson celebrates 15 years Mt Hobson recently hosted two speaking events in Wellington and Auckland, led by UK Educational specialist Rob Carpenter, CEO of the Inspire Partnership, and accredited consultant of Matthew Syed. Matthew Syed is one of the world’s most influential thinkers in the field of high performance and cultural change, and bestselling author of books ‘Bounce’ and ‘Black Box Thinking’. Matthew Syed has worked with some of the world’s largest organisations to help build a mind-set of continuous improvement. This interactive workshop event featured Matthew Sayed’s ‘Mindset for Education’ which covers what Growth Mind-set is, why it is important, the evidence that supports it and the tools to build resilience in students and staff to enable them to face challenge in a complex world. Presenter, Rob Carpenter has over 20 years’ leadership experience in the education sector and is passionate about school-to-school support. He is one of a handful of accredited consultants who work for Matthew Syed to deliver these workshops internationally. This New Zealand debut event provided an amazing learning opportunity for educators, professionals and parents. As part of this event Lexel displayed the new HP Virtual Reality Headset with a focus on the use of VR in education. This proved very popular with the 300+ educators that attended the event.
2 November 2017 Lexel celebrates 30 years Leading figures within the technology industry across New Zealand came together to celebrate 30 years of success, at St Matthews in the City. The occasion included fantastic company, good food, live music, and a little Vegas flair. This milestone was made possible by many great partners ensuring Lexel’s continued growth as an IT provider of choice.
12 October 2017 Saint Kentigern 1st XV Rugby Team Sponsorship Lexel has again supported Saint Kentigern’s 1st XV Rugby team. The highly skilled team won the Auckland 1A final 26-19 over Sacred Heart, making the National top 4 championship competition where they finished 3rd. Lexel is proud to support the team and its sporting achievements in our local community.
12 October 2017 Reseller News ICT Industry Awards - Highly commended mid-market partner Reseller News ICT Industry Awards 2017 recognised the achievements of established and emerging partners in Auckland City last night. 31 July 2017 Buildnz | Designex Lexel and Companion Systems teamed up for the ultimate tradeevent. Lexel, Companion Systems, and HP jointly collaborated at the Buildnz|Designex / National Safety Show exhibiting a wide range of products tailored to the needs of the building and construction industry. Over three days 10,000 industry professionals visited the ASB Showgrounds to share ideas, assess latest trends, innovate, and develop business relationships. 24 July 2017 New Starter Lexel is proud to announce the appointment of Brett Boulle as the General Manager of Cloud and Support Services. With over 20 years experience in ICT business and operations management, service management, software development, program delivery and consulting, Brett brings a wealth of experience to Lexel’s Senior Management team. Prior to joining Lexel Brett was the General Manager of WEX NZ, a global leader in fuel card payments solutions. Before moving to New Zealand five years ago, Brett lived and worked in London for 13 years.

12 April 2017 Microsoft Award Finalist Lexel has been acknowledged as a finalist in the category's Communications Partner of the Year's at the 2017 Microsoft partner Awards. It's expected that 450 people from the partner community will gather at the Langham Auckland to celebrate partners delivering outstanding outcomes in the market place. 17 March 2017 Shake it, Whisk it, Whip it! As part of our ongoing Food for Thought Series, HP and Lexel hosted an indulgent dessert and cocktail masterclass at Social Cooking in Auckland. Participants learnt to unleash mobile productivity with Windows 10 and HP’s new Elite range. The HP Elite range enables you to revolutionise your work place and energise your workforce. The afternoon was a sweet success, constructing tasty treats and delicious cocktails. As part of the event, attendees were given the opportunity to win their very own HP Elite x3. 7 March 2017 Lexel expands into a second building Lexel has recently expanded into an additional office building, next door to its current head office in North Harbour Auckland. The expansion will initially accommodate Lexel's Professional Services team who experienced a growth of 25% in 2016. The new facility provides Lexel the additional space needed to ensure continued growth and development of key service and consulting capabilities. This move also ensures its continued status as ICT Integrator of choice for employees based in northern Auckland.
